dakota

DaKota Tilleraas, DVM

Dr. DaKota Tilleraas grew up raising and competing with Labrador Retrievers with her family. She was also raised around cats, horses and cattle sparking a passion for animals. She grew up in Hastings, Minnesota with 2 brothers and a sister. She attended the University of Minnesota Crookston and obtained a degree in animal science with a minor in agriculture business before enrolling at Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine.

DaKota has a special interest in reproduction, internal medicine and ultrasound. She enjoys working with animals as well as their owners. When she is not at the clinic Dr. Tilleraas enjoys spending time in the outdoors with her Labrador Retriever Rhett and Doberman Sawyer, as well as spending time with her nieces and nephew.

Amy Siltberg, DVM

Dr. Amy Siltberg grew up in a small ranching community in the high desert of Prineville, Oregon. She was raised around dogs, cats, and horses from childhood and was very active in 4-H, FFA, high school, and collegiate equestrian teams with her Quarter Horse, Scooter. This helped Amy foster a love of animals and sparked an interest in veterinary medicine from an early age. Amy obtained a degree in animal science with a concentration in equine science at Montana State University before enrolling and graduating from Colorado State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine.

Amy has a special interest in dentistry, surgery, pain management, nutrition, and client education. She hopes to pursue further education and certification in veterinary acupuncture and laser therapy in the future.

When not at the clinic, Dr. Siltberg enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, as well as spending time outside with their animals which including two cats (Popeye and Safira) and her young horse (Tobi).

Diane

Diane Battjes, DVM

Dr. Diane Battjes grew up in the Twin Cities metro area and attended the University of Minnesota for both her undergraduate degree in biology and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Dr. Battjes is interested in wellness and preventative care, among many other aspects of veterinary medicine.

When she is not in the clinic, Dr. Battjes enjoys spending time with her husband, two children and two Australian Shepherds. Among her hobbies are hiking, caring for the family’s backyard chickens and listening to audiobooks or podcasts while crocheting.

Niky, Practice Manager

Niky brings over 13 years of experience to the veterinary field, along with a genuine passion for client service. She believes deeply in providing individualized care, not just for every pet, but for every person who walks through the door. Her goal is always to make clients feel supported, understood, and confident in the care their pets receive.

She graduated from the University of Wisconsin–River Falls with a degree in Art Education, a background that continues to inspire her creativity both in and outside the hospital.

When she’s not managing the busy flow of the practice, you’ll often find Niky enjoying dog sports with her Catahoula, Lovecraft. She’s recently taken up treeing, scent work, and bay pen competitions. She also has a love for all things creative, especially painting, leatherwork, and needle felting.

At home, life is full, and wonderfully so, with four dogs, two cats, three sugar gliders, and even a pufferfish.

Brittany, Certified Veterinary Technician

Brittany, originally from Veseli, MN, graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science in 2016, followed by an Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology from Argosy University in 2018. She became a Certified Veterinary Technician in Minnesota shortly after. Brittany completed her internship in Equine Medicine at Anoka Equine Veterinary Services before working in small animal clinics. In 2020, she joined New Richmond Vet Clinic after purchasing a home in the area. Her passion lies in surgery and anesthesia, and she continuously strives to expand her knowledge to provide the best care for pets. At home, Brittany enjoys life with two horses—Daisy, a Quarter Horse mare, and Remington, a Paint gelding—along with Diesel, an Australian Shepherd adopted in 2018. In her free time, she loves camping, trail riding, fishing, spending time with friends and family, and cheering on the Minnesota Vikings.

Audrey, Certified Veterinary Technician

Audrey holds an Associate of Applied Science Degree from the Medical Institute of Minnesota. Before joining New Richmond Veterinary Clinic, she gained diverse experience working in a mixed animal practice (both small and large animals), a corporate practice, and a private practice. Her deep love of animals makes veterinary care the perfect career for her. Audrey and her husband, Mike, share their home with three Italian Greyhounds—Fendi, Goose, and Prada—and a cat named Sir Oliver Purrbody (Ollie). Outside of work, she enjoys boating, traveling, and spending time with family. She also teaches agility at the Animal Inn Training School and actively competes in agility and Fastcat events with her Greyhounds. Audrey has competed in trials across Minnesota, Wisconsin, Missouri, and Florida, and has been invited to the prestigious AKC Agility Invitational in Florida four times. Audrey is excited to get to know the pets and clients at New Richmond Veterinary Clinic and looks forward to continuing her passion for animal care.
Camryn

Camryn, Veterinary Assistant

Camryn is a veterinary assistant who graduated with a diploma in veterinary technology from WITC. She began serving clients and their pets at New Richmond Veterinary Clinic before completing her degree and has continued to provide top-notch care to their patients ever since. Outside of work, Camryn enjoys spending her time hiking, reading, writing, and drawing.

Melissa, Veterinary Assistant

Melissa grew up in the Chicagoland area, where her passion for animals began through riding and training horses. At 19, she started her veterinary career at Woodstock Veterinary Clinic, working with specialists in exotics, internal medicine, and orthopedics for 12 years. After a break to raise her four daughters and earn a business degree, Melissa and her family moved to Wisconsin in 2023. She actively rescues horses from slaughter auctions and cares for her own herd of animals, including five horses, two goats, 16 chickens, five cats, and three dogs.

A dedicated member of the U.S. Eventing Association (USEA), Mid-America Eventing Association (MAEA), and U.S. Equestrian Federation (USEF), Melissa competes in events nationwide. She also enjoys traveling, hiking, kayaking, and archery. Melissa joined New Richmond Veterinary Clinic in December 2023, where she treats every animal like her own.

Rebecca, Veterinary Assistant

Rebecca, Veterinary Assistant

Rebecca is a veterinary assistant at New Richmond Vet Clinic who turned her lifelong love for animals into a meaningful career in veterinary medicine. She is passionate about providing every pet with the highest level of care and comfort. In her free time, Rebecca enjoys reading, playing video games, crafting, and shopping.
Jonna

Eliza, Veterinary Assistant

Eliza recently joined our team and brings a bright, caring energy to every appointment. A graduate of Glenwood City High School, she is currently attending Northwood Technical College, where she’s working toward her degree as a Veterinary Technician.

She takes pride in giving every animal the gentle, thoughtful care they deserve, always striving to make each visit as comfortable and positive as possible.

Outside of the clinic, Eliza loves watching dirt track racing, going on RZR rides, heading to tractor pulls, and spending time outdoors hunting. Her favorite moments are those spent with her family, her two dogs, Dudley and Franny, and her boyfriend, Ryan.

Tanya

Tanya, Veterinary Assistant

Tanya joined the team as a Veterinary Assistant. She attended Northwood Technical College and is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and cared for, especially since they cannot advocate for themselves. Tanya takes pride in supporting pets through every stage of their visit and helping them feel their best.
Courtney Weaver

Courtney, Client Service Representative

Courtney is new to the veterinary field but has spent the past five years in the animal science world. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin–River Falls with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. She takes pride in providing compassionate care to both patients and their owners, always striving to create a comfortable, low-stress environment for everyone involved.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her cat, Nyx, and her dogs, Maggie and Vinny, as well as relaxing with her roommate and listening to music. Before joining the team, she was involved with Coco’s Heart Dog Rescue, where she helped find forever homes for dogs in their care.

Kaitlyn

Danielle, Client Service Representative

Danielle is a Client Service Representative who is passionate about providing compassionate care and support to both pets and their families. Danielle brings valuable experience from training service dogs and practicing Animal Reiki healing, having completed training through the Minnesota Reiki Center for Healing and Training. She attended St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota.

 Danielle believes every animal deserves the same love, respect, and care she would want for her own pets. Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, watercolor painting, and spending time with her grandson, as well as watching Animaniacs and the original Scooby-Doo movies.

 A fun fact about Danielle is that she is currently training her one-year-old boxer mix to become her diabetic service dog.

Kaitlyn

Kaitlyn, Remote Communication Specialist

Kaitlyn has been in the animal care field for over five years, with experience ranging from reception and technician work to emergency medicine. She studied at the Midwest Institute in Missouri and ultimately found her passion in client communication, where she can combine her knowledge with her love for helping both pets and their people.

She finds the most joy in building relationships with clients and supporting them in any way she can, ensuring both pets and their owners feel heard, cared for, and supported.

Outside of work, Kaitlyn loves spending time outdoors, adventuring with her dog, Woofie, a Catahoula mix who thrives on exploration. A fun fact about Kaitlyn is that she has built a strong bond with Woofie that allows them to go on long float trips together, even sharing a kayak.
