Dr. Dean Knudson and the rest of the veterinary team are sure to place your pet’s health and well-being above anything else!

Dean Knudson, DVM
Dean Knudson decided to become a veterinarian after watching one of his horses being treated by the family vet. Growing up he raised cattle, sheep, swine, poultry, and horses, but it was the bond with his family’s dogs and cats that led him to pursue a career in small animal medicine. After studying zoology and microbiology at North Dakota State University, Dean attended Iowa State University, receiving his veterinary degree in 1986.
Dean has a depth of experience in small animal medicine, including general practice, emergency, and critical care medicine, practice management, relief practice and consulting. He served as medical director of Pineview Animal Hospital in Sunrise, FL and Hillcrest Animal Hospital in Hudson. Currently licensed in Minnesota and Wisconsin, Dr. Knudson has provided short-term or consultation services to more than two dozen clinics in the Twin Cities metro and western Wisconsin area.
Dr. Knudson has a special interest in surgery and dental care for pets. He enjoys tackling difficult surgeries that have been referred from other veterinarians. With over 26 years experience, Dean has continued to refine his skills including dental procedures, laser surgery, orthopedic surgery and removal of tumors. His medical interests include dermatology and ophthalmology. An active volunteer and community leader, Dean has served as Mayor of Hudson and State Representative, as well as serving on many boards. Dean and his wife, Joy, have two adult children in college and live with their Yorkie, Teddi, and Tia, their cat.

Andrew Keller, DVM
Andrew has a special interest in nutrition, dentistry, internal medicine, and behavior. He enjoys not only working with the animals but also with their owners. When he is not at the clinic Dr. Keller enjoys spending time in the outdoors with his wife, hiking, hunting, fishing and training his Labrador Retrievers named Willow and Hickory.

DaKota Tilleraas, DVM
DaKota has a special interest in reproduction, internal medicine and ultrasound. She enjoys working with animals as well as their owners. When she is not at the clinic Dr. Tilleraas enjoys spending time in the outdoors with her Labrador Retriever Rhett and Doberman Sawyer, as well as spending time with her nieces and nephew.

Amy Siltberg, DVM
Dr. Amy Siltberg grew up in a small ranching community in the high desert of Prineville, Oregon. She was raised around dogs, cats, and horses from childhood and was very active in 4-H, FFA, high school, and collegiate equestrian teams with her Quarter Horse, Scooter. This helped Amy foster a love of animals and sparked an interest in veterinary medicine from an early age. Amy obtained a degree in animal science with a concentration in equine science at Montana State University before enrolling and graduating from Colorado State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine.
Amy has a special interest in dentistry, surgery, pain management, nutrition, and client education. She hopes to pursue further education and certification in veterinary acupuncture and laser therapy in the future.
When not at the clinic, Dr. Siltberg enjoys spending time outdoors, riding horses, reading, sewing, playing music, and spending time with her husband, Jake.

Emily, Managing Technician
Hi, I’m Emily and I’m the managing technician here at New Richmond Veterinary Clinic. I went to UWRF where I majored in Animal Science and am currently enrolled in a PT Vet Tech program. I pride myself on having a compassionate heart and hand. Veterinary medicine is about pets and people. Helping owners understand their pet’s needs is one of the most important ways we can improve their lives. I feel fortunate to work in an industry founded on love and companionship! In my free time I love spending time in the outdoors, hiking, kayaking and traveling. I also love reading, cooking, art, and music. My favorite thing is hanging with my family and my silly dog. I also have an affinity for horses and wild birds.

Kenzie, Veterinary Technician
Hello! My name is Kenzie and I’m a vet tech at New Richmond Vet Clinic. I’ve been practicing for about a year and a half now. I grew up in the small town of Colfax, Wi. I spent my high school years volunteering at the local vet clinic, which is where I developed my love for veterinary medicine. In 2019 I graduated from UWRF with an animal science degree. My favorite part about Vet Med is that I get to meet many different pets and owners and also get to play a part in ensuring those pets are happy and healthy. In my free time, I love to hike with my Catahoula leopard dog mix, Luca. I also enjoy camping, reading, running and spending time with my family.
